We talk about the thousands of buses and minibuses (angkot) that ply the streets. Jakarta is home to angkots. Thousands of blue and red buses, each with a capacity of 13-14 passengers, traverse Jakarta&#8217;s streets every day. Angkot drivers, who are paid through a deposit system, often resort to various methods, such as stopping at random places to wait for passengers or waiting for passengers, which hinders traffic flow.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While cities in other countries have made improvements, replacing small-capacity, slow-moving public transportation, such as public transportation (angkot), with larger-capacity, fast-moving modes like the MRT, trams, subways, and buses, Jakarta still relies on public transportation as one of its mainstays. The public transportation phenomenon is typical of public transportation in developing countries.
